Music Composition Studio

L. Randy Denson

L. Randy Denson grew up in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area where he was born. His first serious musical endeavors began at the age of fifteen when he began studying jazz guitar. Randy found a new passion when he began studying theory and composition with teacher Tom Jones at the age of sixteen. However, when he graduated high school, Randy decided to go into full-time ministry instead. Since receiving a Five-Fold Ministry with Greek degree from Ministerís Training Institute in 1989, Randy has been involved in ministry at different positions and capacities. Randy has always been actively involved in music whether serving as a church music minister, playing various instruments on worship teams, performing in bands, or working with recording projects. In recent years, his original compositions have mostly been contemporary worship songs. Now, in his thirties, Randy has embarked on a journey to fulfill a lifelong dream of completing a music degree in composition. Ultimately, his desire is for the knowledge and skills developed through this program to help his compositions reach a higher level of excellence and, in turn, inspire others in their praise towards God.
