Music Composition Studio

Liahna Guy

Liahna was born in Western Kentucky. She began her musical career by playing the french horn in middle school and performing in various choirs through high school and college. She attended Murray State University for a Bachelor of Science in Music degree and studied composition and electronic music with Dr. John Steffa, Dr. Mike D'Ambrosio and Sabrina Peņa Young, voice with Elizabeth Johnson-Knight, and percussion with Dr. John Hill. Her influences include J.S. Bach, Heinrich Schütz, John Cage and Steve Reich. She has a great love for music theory, specifically set theory. Currently, she is perusing a Master of Music degree in Composition at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
